The line between our humanity and our divinity is blurred and causes endless confusion. We often excuse our bad behaviour by rationalising our biological conditioning, or we judge ourselves for not being ‘spiritual enough’ when we act from our animal drives.
So am I an animal, or am I something beyond the physical? And if I am beyond the body and mind, then what do I do with these animal drives like sex, desire, social obligations, parenting, work etc.?
For many people, spiritual awakening means the rejection of the physical world and the human drives, while for others it means “anything goes.” Do these extremes lead to peace and freedom? What is the middle way?
This retreat will look deeply into our tendencies to land in one place or another. How we rationalise our behaviour instead of owning them, and being willing to bust ourselves open and see what is deeper than any landing place. Where there is no ground, and no landing place, it is possible to see the perfection in our humanity and divinity, and release any internal sense of contradiction between the two.
Retreat tuition $325
